This experience is particularly for those that are short on time, as we can organise your exclusive day so it is close to Hobart, Launceston or Cradle Mountain.

About the Fishing
Tasmania is home to some of the world’s most pristine trout fishing rivers and lakes offering anglers the chance to entice wild brown trout to a dry fly, or to hone your skills with all the techniques such as streamer fishing, euro nymphing or plonking.
Tasmania has an abundance of lowland lakes and streams, so whether you are staying at Hobart, Launceston or near to Cradle Mountain, there is fishing to be had near you.
Our expert guides with deep local knowledge will lead you on an unforgettable private day experience in Tasmania’s wilderness.
Itinerary
A day generally starts with a pickup between 8:00 am and 9:00am depending on whether we need to beat the traffic.
The weather conditions can change our plans for the day as we want to ensure you have a relaxing time on the water.
The plan is to be fishing before 10:00 am, lunch about 1:30pm and off the water about 5pm and back to your hotel or accommodation by 6pm, but conditions vary so we plan accordingly.
Occasionally dinner arrangements need to be changed if conditions are too good to leave, but in most cases we have guests back at their accommodation on time.

We cater for groups or individuals from ages eight to eighty-eight, fit and healthy to those that require more care and attention.
This is your experience and we tailor the effort based on your needs. We can create 15km hiking fishing walks or leisurely sight fishing from a boat, so discuss your needs so we can plan your Tasmanian fishing adventure.
We would class the experience as being moderately difficult unless there is a need to make it more extreme.
Just remember that our rivers can be treacherous to wade without the right gear, so speak to us about what to bring.
Fishing Tour Details
WHAT TO BRING
– Good wading boots and waders
– For our rivers 2 or 3 weight rods.
– For our lakes 5 or 6 weight rods.
– Bring a change of clothes if you feel your wading is not proficient.
– Long and short sleeve shirt, warm jacket, warm sweater or jumper.
– A Tasmanian fishing licence.
WE WILL SUPPLY
– Vehicle transfers are included for our lowland adventures.
– A boat if required
– We provide all wading and fishing gear if required.
– A light Tasmanian gourmet lunch, snacks and refreshments.
