About fly fishing in Europe in 2027

Come and be hosted by Jason Garrett on this amazing fly fishing odyssy in Europe. We will travel to the United Kingdom, France, Norway, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Whether it is the location on your bucket list or the fish species to catch, we will wine and dine you around Europe for those parts of it that you would like to accompany us.

Our planning starts 18 months out, so that we can lock in all the travel arrangements twelve months before departure.

Itinerary

As hosts, we plan a hosted trip experience around Europe with the next trip being planned being from May 2027 until late July 2027. It is not expected that individuals or groups accompany the whole tour but only for those stages which are of interest.

Stage 1 – The first and second stage is in England where we base ourselves near Stockbridge, spending three days fishing the river systems including the Test, and the Avon in late May when the mayfly feeders are active. Transport is included in the package to and from London. We then venture to reservoirs with a choice of fishing Chew Valley and Blagden below Bristol or heading north to fish Grafham or Rutland near Peterborough. Transport is included in the package either from London or Birmingham.

Stage 2 – With June in full swing, we head over to France for the third stage fishing the Aude River and some of the magical lakes that were in the World Championships in 2024. Transport is included in the package from Toulouse.

Come with us to Norway for the fourth leg experiencing spey casting for salmon during this three day spectacular river fishing odyssey, then head off on your own to see a little bit of Scandinavia. The tour starts and finishes in Trondheim.

Stage 3 – From Scandinavia, we meet up in Krakow, Poland and travel south to fish down on the border between Poland and Slovakia, and then we cross the border to fish the rivers in Slovakia before travelling on to the Czech Republic. This stage can be broken down into the three countries that you visit or you can meet the party at just one of these countries.

In planning the trip, we engage with a number of operators that provide accommodation, meals, transfers and guiding.

We arrange all the local licences required to fish in the various regions.

We coordinate the meeting dates at the transfer locations so that you can join and leave the party knowing the dates well in advance.

Other than the necessity to bring your own waders and boots, we supply all the fishing gear either directly or through our operators in country.

Once in country, the focus is on fishing only. For those wanting side trips to other events or experience will need to arrange them separately to the tour.

Highlights

– Whilst on vacation in Europe, being able to take time out to go fishing with your host Jason Garrett. This experience should be a bucket list experience so make sure Jason is aware what it is that is most appealing about the trip.

– Choice of fishing packages depending on where you may be holidaying.

– Other than waders and boots, we will have all the gear you need to make it memorable.

– There is no requirement for you to plan, coordinate or investigate anything during the dates of each stage as this is prepared for you.

– After receiving your expression of interest on a particular stage or stages, a detailed proposal is forwarded to you, whereby a 25% deposit is required 12 months in advance, with final payment required 3 months prior to stage meetings. There are additional communication updates during the twelve month period.

– In terms of difficulty, clients will be wading in strong rivers, but in most cases you will be guided and managed. Please inform us of any concerns. All participants will need to provide details of comprehensive travel insurance.

– Please note that we only have sufficient vehicle space for one large bag, and any other smaller carry bags will need to be nursed by you during transfers.
